In times of crisis, it seems obvious that we should forget about so-called luxuries to save money, take care of our expenses, buy only what we need and think more carefully about the choices we make.
While sensible at first glance, all of this creates a state of mind in which we operate with the assumption that there's not enough for everyone and that we have to share what little we do have. We call this a "lack context." We live with the feeling that we will never get anything we want and that we are forced to defend what's ours. From this context, we end up receiving less and less, when we wanted to get more and more, causing us to work harder and harder.
Eventually, we begin to ask ourselves: How are we going to get out of this? What can we do differently? When will this crisis end?
These questions help us look at the actions we can take to achieve different results. The approach suggested by Ontological Coaching encourages us to look beyond our actions and focus on understanding how we are seeing and talking about ourselves. From this broad point of view, we can generate new thoughts that allow us to live in a "context of abundance" where crisis is an opportunity to start looking outward, leaving aside our selfishness and putting our focus on growing a community and joining forces with others to create synergy.
As a means of taking responsibility for our success and that of our community, Destiny Consulting is implementing this concept through our free Coaching Workshops, dedicating ourselves to sharing the tools that help people generate growth in their businesses, and to carry their successes forward to benefit their communities.
