Pinterest recently introduced a new analytics tool to allow a website owner to track things like the number of people pinning from their site, how many people see these pins or the number of people who have visited your site from Pinterest.

Looking for a news reader alternative to Google Reader?

Google recently announced its Google Reader is going to be expired on July 1, 2013. Before you panic, a similar, if not better, alternative is already available and gaining popularity: Feedly. It's available for Chrome, Safari and Firefox as well as mobile syncing for Android and iOS. It features a simple, sleek interface and will migrate all of your Google Reader information seemlessly. The site currenty has over 600,000 users, 500,000 of which are new users since the announcement of the end of Google Reader two days ago.

Make sure you switch to Feedly before Google Reader ends in order to ensure all your information is transitioned over seamlessly. Once downloading Feedly you are immedietly prompted to sync with your Google Reader account and in moments all your subscriptions and "starred" posts have been transfered over to Feedly. 

Feedly has the same core features as Google Reader with many preference options available and makes it easy to save and share content. Although the default "magazine" view is a visually pleasing way to scroll through your updates, you may want to consider switching to the "condensed" view in order to have a view similar to Google Reader. This shows a list view of titles which is more efficient when scanning through articles quickly. There are many different settings you can alter in order to create an experience similar to Google Reader. We are so excited to partner with The Sarasota-Manatee Originals! The Originals are such an important part of our city's history and community. They are a close-knit group of locally owned restaurants, some who have been around as long as 20 years, who are committed to keeping the Sarasota and Manatee area unique.

We have built The Originals website from the ground up! Running their social media has been such a special project for us because of their interesting events, special promotions, and variety of restaurants involved. We have taken on all of the social media platforms and are thrilled to see such a great response from the community and desire to see The Originals succeed!

We are going to begin educational programs with The Originals and teach their members about online marketing, social media platforms, and search engine optimization. These classes will help them to create a stronger image for their restaurants and understand how to tackle different online publicity strategies. This will not only enhance their own image, but The Originals image as a whole.

In the Sarasota area, we have done website design for The Bijou Cafe and Drunken Poet who are part of The Originals and are currently working on revamping The Crow's Nest. With such as strong sense of unity throughout the different restaurants within The Originals, we feel as if we have been accepted as part of their family and look forward to additional projects we take on.

A new twitter version is out and it looks a lot like facebook to me. I think we have now a 3 way competition for the best social network, facebook now is not only competing with Google + but twitter got into the race too. You might think they where already, but tweeter was left behind by the power of facebook and the business pages...  well, now twitter announces branded twitter professional pages coming up...  

Augmented Reality is very cool and in 10 years you may use it everywhere, on your car windshield, on your glasses, on retail stores, but what useful applications we could find today for it? There are some great iphone applications that apply this cool concept and could also help your business grow…
 

The acrossair app for example uses 3D navigation which you can see as you spin around. There is local data from property companies and big name brands which is represented in an augmented reality view. This app is a great example why you should get into social media marketing and services like foursquare, and have your business local map entry on google, or if you have a restaurant promote yelp and tell people rate you there and make comments and reviews. Social media and other online services are starting to pop up all around us and now with the use of Augmenter reality people will take advantage of them even more.

Think about it, more and more people is using these tools on their mobile devices. That means you need to be part of it or you will be loosing opportunities every day.
